Why Families Should Choose Prime

Exceptional Value

We strive to provide one of the best values in youth baseball by combining high quality instruction, structured development, and an affordable program designed for local families.

Flexibility

At PRIME, we believe all our athletes should be involved in as many other sports as their schedule allows. We are not looking to have athletes specialize or have baseball consume their sports agenda. We also value our players time with their family, select sports can sometimes steal weekend after weekend but we will strategically run practices and games so our players still get the work in but also get time to be a kid.

Fun Comes First

We want our athletes to fall in love with this game first and foremost. The development part comes much easier when each player is excited to come to practice or games.

Positive Coaching

We build confidence through encouragement, accountability, and respect.

Structured Development

Every practice has a purpose. We provide a more structured and competitive environment than most recreational programs while keeping the game fun and age-appropriate. Players are encourages to challenge themselves, embrace competition, and develop the habits that prepare them for future success.

Realtionships Matter

We are building more than a select baseball team, were building a community. Loyalty, trust, and commitment create strong teammates, lasting friendships, and a culture where every player and family feels valued.

Our Mission

Building Better Ballplayers. Building Better People.

Prime Baseball Development exists to help young athletes build confidence, character, and a lifelong love for baseball. Through purposeful instruction, positive coaching, and a competitive yet encouraging environment, we teach the fundamentals of the game while developing teamwork, discipline, accountability, and respect. Our mission is to prepare every player not only for the next level of baseball, but for success in life.

PRIME Development Program

One Team. One Culture. One Mission.

6/7U Coach Pitch Development

Prime Baseball Development is a year-round development program for motivated 6-8 year old Coach Pitch Athletes who are ready to learn, compete, and grow in a positive structured environment. Rather than separating players strictly by age, we focus on developing each athlete at an appropriate pace while creating opportunities to learn from teammates, build lasting friendships, and strengthen team culture. As our program grows, our goal is to be able to support two rosters that regularly compete against each other during practices and scrimmages.

Meet The PRIME Coaches

Great programs are built by great coaches. At Prime Baseball Development, we don’t add coaches simply to fill positions—we add leaders who genuinely care about kids and are committed to teaching the game the right way. Every member of our coaching staff has earned their place because they already embody the values our program was founded on: integrity, accountability, enthusiasm, positive leadership, competitiveness, and a passion for developing young athletes. We believe consistency matters, which is why every athlete in our program can expect the same high standard of coaching, regardless of which coach they’re working with. We will also be looking to grow our coaching staff this year to anyone or would like to get involved.

Season Schedule and What To Expect

August / September

  • Last 2 weeks of August will be Tryouts.

  • Once Roster is finalized, practices begin Sept. 14th (twice a week and outside)

  • Jersey sizing and gear hand out

October – December

During the fall months, we focus on individual player development. Practices emphasize defensive fundamentals, hitting consistency, throwing progression, baseball IQ, speed, agility, and overall athleticism. This is where players make some of their biggest improvements before winter training begins.

  • This is where our practices move indoors to our Arlington practice location. (still twice a week)

  • Some sort of Fall league consisting of practice games and/or mini league with playoff style last week.

  • November Food drive. Great way to teach our kids about giving back to their community.

  • First player led fundraiser where proceeds raised go directly back towards player fee.

  • December Toy Drive

    • Note: Players will have some sort of Thanksgiving and Christmas break

January / February

Winter Training & Competitive Preparation

Indoor training allows us to continue developing mechanics while preparing for the upcoming spring season. Athletes work on hitting, defensive repetitions, arm care, agility, and competitive drills designed to build confidence and consistency before returning outdoors.

  • First tournament of the year, PRIME will host this tournament.

  • Practices move outdoors when weather permits and a 3rd practice to the week or a scrimmage will be added.

  • Team Bonding Event

March / April

Game Preparation & Team Competition

As the weather improves, practices shift toward game situations and team execution. Players continue refining their individual skills while learning situational baseball, communication, and teamwork. Scrimmages and local tournaments become a regular part of the development process.

  • We will enter into one tournament. Will most likely be a 8U tournament through Perfect Game.

  • Practices will scale back when Spring Little League kicks off.

  • A 2nd fundraiser where again, all money earned will do directly back to the player.

May – July

Tournament Season & Peak Development

Summer is where preparation meets competition. Players compete in local tournaments while continuing to develop through structured practices and meaningful game experience. Throughout the season, our focus remains the same—playing hard, supporting teammates, having fun, and continuing to grow both as athletes and as young people.

  • Summer league in the works that will be played with other select programs

  • One last tournament if one is available.

  • Weeks will be structured around one week day practice and 1-2 games on the weekend.

Parent FAQ

What is the age range for the academy and how much does it cost?

We offer a specialized 6U / 7U coach pitch program designed for young athletes in Arlington, Lake Stevens, and Snohomish County. We will be playing in 8U tournaments in the spring and summer of 2027 so players must be born after May 1st, 2018. This team will be looking for core group of 6 and 7 year old players but also 8 year old players that fall within the age requirement.

Cost, a huge reason why i launched PRIME was to give families a select baseball feel but at a city sports price range. Player fees are still being finalized but it will be roughly $800 dollars a player for the year, that will include uniforms, tournament fees, and all other things related to the season. No surprise fees! We will be sponsoring 2-3 fundraisers this year where players can earn money directly back towards their players fees. This is an exceptional value for your player to stay active and involved the next 11 months. This is also a great alternative if your player is involved in Fall leagues and Summer leagues. I will be advocation all players still take part in Spring Little League.

How do I register my child?

Registration is completed through our secure online portal. We recommend pre-registering to secure your child's spot in the upcoming season.

Are there team uniforms?

Yes, uniforms will be purchased for each player once a finalized roster is established. These include a jersey, cap, belt, and socks. Practice attire will also be supplied.

What are the practice/game/tournament schedules?

Practices will be two times a week for most the year. We will be outside as long as the weather allows and during the rainy months we will be utilizing our indoor facility. After winter we will be itiching to get back outside where a 3rd practice or scrimmage will be worked into our offerings.  We will compete in local scrimmages and also look to enter into 2-3 tournaments next spring/summer.

How are players evaluated?

We will be filling out 2026-2027 with a specific vision in mind. We will not only be evaluating players on skill but also on effort and a willingness to learn and take direction. Through out the year we will track each players progression in specific areas to ensure each fundamental is being addressed.

What if my child plays other sports?

I love this question, i want all my Prime players to be involved in as many other sports as they possibly can. The goal will be to work around other season sports as much as possible. I will also be encouraging all Prime players to play Spring Little League as its a great way to represent their city.
